TYYNI began with the desire to bring the Finnish sauna experience closer to everyday life. More than a building, the sauna is a place for familiar acts: warming up, taking a breath outside and returning to the company of others or to your own thoughts.
That idea shapes the collection. Clear layouts, natural timber and carefully finished details support the experience without demanding attention. The view outside remains part of every visit.

In Finland, sauna bathing is part of everyday culture: a rhythm of warmth, fresh air and time together, passed from one generation to the next. TYYNI brings that living tradition into contemporary spaces, with nature always close by.

Architect and industrial designer Piotr Gniewek grew up around his grandparents’ carpentry workshop. Working with timber was part of his earliest experience of making: understanding the material, respecting its character and paying attention to the detail.
Studying and working in Finland deepened his understanding of sauna culture. TYYNI brings these influences together: the practical knowledge of the workshop, the Finnish bathing tradition and an architectural language drawn from nature and classical forms.
